Width of Paperbark Maple or Fringe tree? Planting close to house

Hi, I have a small courtyard, and would love to have a tree in it. The tree would be planted about 5 feet from the house (2 story house with very short attic), southern exposure, a little bit of a windy spot. I originally had my heart set on stewartia, but saw a 60 year old one today, and beautiful, but 30 feet wide so Stewartia is off the list. The experienced nurseryman suggested Paperbark Maple or Fringe tree, but I'm concerned that either or these will get too wide as well. We are planning on living here for forever, and I don't want to plant something that would damage the house. Or have to be pruned weirdly to fit in the space.
If you have one of those two, I'd love to know how wide it is and how old it is.
Thank you very much
