| On my cherry tree, I'm getting huge expanded distortions on each branch that makes sections of the branch about 10 times bigger and all gnarly and horrible looking. The tree is about eight years old, but the plums are stills one-third the size of a normal plum when fully matured, and I believe these insects may be making the plums stay smaller in size.
Please see the photo I have provided showing a branch of the cherry tree with its terrible distortions and knots. What kind of bugs are infesting my cherry tree? Are they beetles? I remember my ex-wife in the past putting beetle bait traps below the cherry tree and catching like 50 beetles! But I don't think beetles could be that small. What's your opinion? Thank you for your time. |

| no photo and w/o it.. i am confused that you are getting plums on a cherry if it is a plum.. google 'black knot on plum' ... and then flip to the IMAGES side and its not a bug.. but a severe disease.. which is untreatable ... and that aint good ken |
