baby branches appear after pruning

I know it isn't some horrible thing, but i limbed up some trees. They were about 5-6 ft trees (oak) and I am getting little skinny limbs back on the trunk. Will they leave or do I need to remove in the near future? I wanted bare trunks up to about 3 or 4 ft up the trunk. I will just leave them on if they will eventually die out anyway. Why prune now and have to later.

They won't leave of their own accord. You can simply rub out buds at an early stage with your thumb. In the future you'd have to get out a saw or secateurs. I'd take the low effort option.
