Purple Beech Tree HELP!!!!!

I have a purple beech tree(Fagus Sylvatica Atropurperea).I forgot to water it until now and the weather was really hot.It is in a pot as it's new.The leaves are wilting but the xylem and phloem layer is still green.Will it come back or will it just die away?Help would really be appreciated.Thank you very much.
