What tree is this?

There is an evergreen tree in our neighborhood that my wife and I both really like and would like to know what the name of the tree is. I've search online and come up with no clear answer.

See the attached photos below.

It doesn't appear much in ht pictures, but the needles are shiny/waxy.

I live in Cleveland, Ohio so our zone is 4-6 depending on which chart you use.

That's a very nice Sciadopitys verticillata (Japanese Umbrella Pine)!

Find the cultivar 'Wintergreen'. It's the hardiest of all Umbrella pines & is very easy to locate.

See the lines down the middles? Each "needle" is actually two, that can be peeled apart.

its a conifer.. there is a conifer forum.. should you wish to be completely enabled.. lol .. otherwise... post where you wish ...

avon .. a western burb of cleveland.. is clearly z6.. as a friend of mine there.. can grow things that i cant in my z5 ..

and one of those things is your plant.. it dies in z4 ... so dont refer to that map again ...

you are a warm 5.. and most likely z6 ..
