My sugar maples are sunburned.

2 of my 3 sugar maples are sunburned. Top leaves only. They are skinny, 4 ft tall trees.

Sugar maples are native here, so I don't know why they are sunburned. I am surrounded by sugar maples. Almost every resident on my road, basically everyone in our county has a sugar maple. I don't see any other sugar maple trees that are sunburned. My next door neighbor's sugar maple that he planted 7 years ago is now 18 feet or so tall, and about 50 feet away from my maples, looks fine. So why are my trees top leaves sunburned?

I got the trees dormant, and planted them dormant. They are in full sun 15 hours a day or basically from sunrise to sunset.

Does this mean if they sunburned this year, they will every year?
