| I have a fountain cherry tree in my front garden, and am wondering about the best way to prune it. Last year, each weeping branch was growing across the ground, so I decided to prune the bottom of each one. But that seemed to cause a ton of additional branches sprouting out above each cut that I can't seem to control. Is it ok to keep pruning off these new branches? Is there any way to prune the tree without causing additional branches to spawn off the pruned one? Thanks in advance... |

| No. If you don't want sprouting behind pruning cuts you have to stop pruning. If you don't want it crawling on the ground you have to prune. Tree is probably 'Snofozam', sold using the Snow Fountains trademark. |
