| For anyone in the Metro Detroit area who posts here, be advised that English Gardens has half off all nursery stock on Wednesday 06/20/2012 from 6-9 AM only.
Which is a good thing, because they are $$$, but they have rare things I can't find other places, and I have a list made of the plants I want to complete some landscape makeovers at my house. Half off helps. And, they do have a 2 year warranty with purchase of the annual "garden club" card, which is a plus. |

| Denniinmi~ I was prompted to sign up for this forum today after yet another trip to English Gardens. LOL :)I plan on grabbing up some things in R.O. Wednesday, bright and early! It still kills me that I couldn't afford a couple of rare cedar shrubs I saw this spring. I love everything there, but you need to save up for them, don't you? Interesting thing I overheard while waiting for a manager at the service desk today: They are giving refunds for Impatiens because apparently they sold some with a fungus. The woman complaining about hers, was told to rip out a few of the the dead ones, bring them in and they will refund the purchase price. They also told her that she shouldn't plant impatiens in the same place next year. BTW, I saw in another post you live out by the Oakland Co. airport. I grew up in that area and am in R.O. now! |
