3/4" and perhaps that's optimistic. It can be argued I suppose, but while they do wonders for shearing, they'll just make raggedy scrapes if the branch is too large.

What are you looking to trim? And how high up? I make good use of a branch lopper for what I can reach.

Coody my hedger can only cut the size of a finger. Probably a pinky. I use the pole saw that extends to trim the weed trees that my neighbor has next to his fence. I want to buy the electric kind but I think I should rent one first. I would hate to spend the money only to find out I am not strong enough to use it.

i can not think of a single application.. on a single tree .. that involves giving such an haircut ... it called topping a tree.. and it is not favored ...

care to enlighten us??? .. name the tree... and tell us the plan ....
