Depending on your location, it's most likely Paulownia tomentosa, an invasive Asian species.

Could also be a Catalpa.

Thanks. I have trouble telling the two apart by leaves only (but a full shot of a mature tree I can).

Odd since they're not that closely related, not even the same family.

Hairmetal, Paulownia leaves are fuzzy (hence 'tomentosa, "hairy") and tend to have a deep cleft at the petiole. They also have 4 main veins that come together at the stem of the leaf.

The Catalpas grow 'cigars". I think the Paulownia leaves are larger and more impressive for their size and more tropical looking. But that might be more so when they are younger.
