i see a lot of bare branches .... are these the only branches that leafed out ...

do you have a warranty?? what does the seller have to say about it ...

its severely stressed.. digging it up and moving it.. will not help ....

what did you do at planting ... amend??? ... fert... etc ...

Hi - about 70% of branches leafed out, of those most have dropped their leaves already, hence all the bare branches. Got tree at auction so doubt there is warranty but can talk to seller. Did not fertilize or amend at planting because I have planted dozens of trees in my yard without fert. or amend and they did fine. Tend to agree with not moving, leave alone for now see if it will recover?

This shows the rising sun redbud about a month ago with flowers and leaves starting, since then the leaves have wilted and mostly dropped

Did it survive? Looks like it had root rot from too much water.
