Is this new tree worth saving?

We bought a tree new last year and planted it in September. At the time I didn't realize that they had bamboo trying to straighten it. I spent last fall and this spring with a much larger bamboo rod trying to straighten it with some success.

My bigger concern is with the hard winter this tree and other new ones we planted all have some degree of dieback. A pin oak had a good section of lower branches all die (inside is brown) and this one had the top and many tips die. Even our japanese maple had some branches dieback. What I'm looking for is what should I do? Should I prune these back on this tree and cut off the section of branches on the pin oak and trim up the japanese maple? Should these be replaced?
