The leaves look similar, but that wavy edge tells me it's something else. Also pawpaw leaves are not that shiny, the new stems are thicker, and the end of the stems does not look like pawpaw to me. If you can get a close up of the terminal leaf bud (ie the end of a stem) that would really be helpful.

For me, ripping a leaf a bit and smelling is a good test. Paw paw leaf smells like bell pepper to me.

Spicebush is a possibility. The comment above made me think of that, because spicebush leaves have a really nice scent.
