How to save my cherry tree? (Pictures included)

I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My cherry tree has been very healthy for the past 10 years. In June 2014, however, I noticed that 2 of the three main branches does not grow leaves and fruits anymore. (as shown in the picture)

What is wrong with our cherry tree? Did the tree get infected? Any ideas and suggestions?
