Whatever it is, you better start removing it.

Are all those small things in the final image seedlings? If so, herbicide (triclopyr) or hand pull soon!

The larger multistem clump can be managed with a slight variation.
Cut off the stems at a foot or so, then immediately paint with full strength triclopyr as is directed on the label.

Triclopyr is an active ingredient which is more effective on woodies than is glyphosate, the latter in Roundup & more.

It's winged sumac, Rhus copallinum, nothing to be afraid of. Technically considered a shrub. By its very nature it is a suckering plant and it helps to hold soil from eroding in places.

You can snip the suckers off with pruning shears as they appear, but some might come back. I have one in my yard and I manage it that way. It has berries that the birds like and amazing fall leaf color. It is native to Georgia.

I was trying to pull it by hand last year and it comes back again this year. It keeps growing out of control :)
Will try the triclopyr.
Are those roots usually connected to a single tree? I tried to pulled those and the roots seems to be very long and I can't seem to find where it starts from.

How long the root system would go? I am afraid that it will get under the bermuda grass in surrounding area if I kept it.
