New tree with one remaining leaf, will it be okay?

I have received my new Bracken's brown beauty today. The tree had a decapitated top and one side branch. upon planting, after tamping the soil down with my foot the tender side branch came off. The tree has one nice leaf remaining. The top was wilted already when opening the box, and the top already detatched. I already planted the tree and think that the ease with which the side branch came off shows that rough handleing of the box in shipment caused the top to come off. I just wondered if the one leaf is enough to keep the tree alive or should I get a new one? I barely touched the tree and the side branch came off.
