If you killed it, it's dead! Did you really kill it? How did you do it?

Concentrated glyphosate or triclopyr applied to the freshly cut phloem would very likely have done the job. If you just cut it down (which is NOT killing it), it will be back!

Ok, I will put glyphosate tomorrow. I've removed 100% of the base but the roots that I cut from the base are still there though totally devastated and smashed. I have a feeling that it will come back since corkscrew will is very easy to start. I started it from a thin 6 inch cutting.

Tomorrow or Monday since it rained heavily today, I'll clean up the area so I can have better access to the big roots . I'll drill a hole and pour concentrated glyphosate for few days. I just hope I don't miss any roots.

interior wood is structure.. not live.. the vital juices of the tree run thru teh cambian layer.. just below the bark ...

use the very expensive applicator at the link.. and apply to the outer most quarter inch of a fresh cut trunk ...

it should have been done immediately at cutting ...

if any suckers appear.. clip with hand shears.. and apply one drip .. until it dies...

minimal use.. precise application ... this is NOT a spray.. nor pour thing

Yup, that's what I will do.

I was actually thinking of drilling a hole into the thick root that is still on the ground. That root is facing upwards. Some roots are on the side but are only 1 inch in diameter but not many.
