transplant shock is not uncommon with large transplants ... this time of year ..

and that is about all we can guess .. w/o a pic ...

if you have a warranty ... there isnt much you can do.. but rely on the seller ... and i cant really say.. that they said anything outrageous ...

see link about proper watering .. and this is IMPERATIVE ... its not a shoot it with the hose thing... you need to insure you get water thru the whole mass planted ... and its not a schedule thing.. because we dont know how it will work in your soil ...

beyond that... i hope it is planted at the proper depth ... and there is no burlap showing.. and it is properly mulched ... which a pic might show ...

I would love to see a picture of the whole tree and another two of where the trunk meets where the trunk meets the ground with the mulch there and with it pulled back.

But yeah, tough time of year to transplant a tree. How long of a warranty do you have?

Thanks so much. It is planted property- I used a well-known nursery in the area to do it. As far as watering, it has been raining big-time here almost every day since the day it was planted. I also have a soaker hose around it if we go more than two days without a big rain. That only happened once. I do have a year guarantee on it but would hate to have to start over again. I guess I"ll just have to wait and see.
