Here's a picture of my Golden Raintree, 4 years old

It looks to me like there are 3 branches on top that want to be the leader. lol

You'll note the neighbor's maple tree that he planted right on the property line. I've mentioned it a time or two (or twenty) on here. The green stake he has right next to his tree denotes where his property ends. Can anyone tell me what kind of maple he has? I'm just curious. He dug it out of a friend's yard back when it was 4ft tall.

You'll also notice the Christmas trees of the other neighbor. My property abuts both of them.

The brown on the left side of our mulch is where dh was weed eating...Do you think we planted the tree well? You can see the root flare plain as day. I do have a "plant support" around the trunk, but I only put it there if we're about to have a windy storm. I'll stop doing that in a year or two, because the tree is definitely wind tolerant...
