| I stopped by a local Menards and they had all remaining trees at 40% off I decided to give it a shot as I have been wantig to get several items for my property.
I will update with specifics later (I am away from the items now, but wanted to get a jump start on info, upon gathering the info, I will post pictures and specifics about the trees), but I bought a nice Blue Spruce Globe, a Weeping Evergreen (details later), and 2 spiral cut evergreens (details later). So, my main question is... I am here in Ohio and we are going through a bit of a drought. My question is should i go ahead and plant them now/soon, or keep them in the pots and just baby them along until a better time. The only "hurdle" in planting now/soon is I will be going on vacation for a week, in a week... so I know I can't plant them until I get back. I do have someone who will water them for me in my absence (in the pots). Given that information, since i have to keep them in the pots for a couple weeks.... what is the best way to treat them during this time. FUll sun, or work in a little bit of shade during these 2 weeks. Water once a day, twice a day, every other day...etc. Thanks for any and all help, and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks |

| i would put them in shade.. and have someone water them every other day or two .. even perhaps.. to insure it happens.. deliver them to that house.. so they cant forget ... it is IMPERATIVE... the the black pot stays out of all sun ... THE PLANT ITSELF DOESNT MATTER ... and plant them in sept or so ... ITS A MUCH MORE FORGIVING TIME.. FOR ONE WITH YOUR EXPERIENCE LEVEL ... and then i would visit the CONIFER FORUM ... with pix if you need IDs that way .. and also with explanations on how to plant in that horrendous OH clay ... presuming you have it ... not knowing how root bound the pots are.. its hard to say how often they will need water .. insert finger.. and water when the media is dry 2 inches down ... you better have a trustworthy friend ... ken

| The buds have already set for next year so you can put them in full shade temporary as Ken mentioned above. |
