I think it is some sort of Maple, but maples are not indigenous to south east Texas. These trees are about 20-30 ft tall and have trunks about 8" in diameter, so relatively small. If you can identify it, can you also identify what is causing the problem with the leaves. They are turning brown and falling off. Now we have the same type tree nearby tht is starting to show signs of the leaves turning brown, but none of the tees in between(oaks, sweetgum) I am not sure how to post multiple pics so there will be 3 additional postings with the other pics of the green leaves, dead leaves, and trunk.
