Here's another pic to see how the branches come off the main trunk.

With those narrow crotch angles I would remove all but the largest main leader. Had the same situation on my shingle oak, chopped the smallest off and it is now quite happy and growing normally. Failing to remove them will give you branch failure in high wind or ice later. Chop chop.

Yup - cut it. It might look a bit sparse for a year or two, but it will look fine soon after, and have a far healthier structure as a result.
