Nope.

RE: name that tree

Are you saying you know what it is and you want people to guess it correctly?

Otherwise, including a picture of a leaf would greatly help.

Close, but no cigar. Osage Orange bark looks quite a bit different.

You've got the right family (Moraceae).

Mulberry (red)?

 o
RE: name that tree

Looks exactly like mulberry bark but that doesn't mean it can't be something else.
Might I suggest that contests for the mere point of frivolity (it seems the OP already knows the answer) be posted only in the "name that plant" forum?

Hey davidrt28

I'd like to have a friendly private chat with you. Would you be willing to do that?

.

 o
RE: name that tree

Nope. I don't privately chat w/anyone here.
But on second thought, I don't mind so much where you posted this, but the title of the thread ought to have been something like "Contest: Name this tree".

Looks like Showdown at High Noon avoided.........................so is it a Mulberry? If not, don't leave us hanging.........

RE: name that tree

It's a male Mulberry. I think it's white, but not sure.

The largest leaf (on the right) is 5.5" from tip to base (not including stem)

Impressive people can guess that just based off that initial trunk photo.
