earliest/latest trees to color in your area

Just a topic for a bored night - in your area, what are the earliest and latest trees to show fall color (outside stressed/abnormal situations)?

Earliest: Nyssa sylvatica (Black Gum), starts showing colors as early as Sept. 1 and peaks by early Oct. at the latest, bare soon after. I've seen some Serviceberry pretty early too.

Latest: Quercus acutissima (Sawtooth oak) - the chartreuse-brown of the sawtooth oak doesn't typically get going until after Dec. 1 most years.

For trees with "good" color...the latest are probably the Callery pears and some oaks, mid November.

When I lived in OH - the blackgums would often PEAK in September, and were often bare by Oct. 1.

Side note: In Ohio (lived there from '77 to '07), the Sweetgums were among the latest trees to color. In MD they color right around the same time as peak. There must be an "age of the leaf" factor involved.
