Yes, I'm worrying when there is no problem....yet.

Can live oak (likely) Quercus Virginiana var. Q. Fusiformis stand soil that drains slow? I have added 3 more possible hybrids and so far so good for the past 3 months. I am wondering about if they will be moist or water-logged in dormancy. Is coast live oak Q.V. okay with standing water? They would have to be, right? Hurricanes cause flooding that may take weeks to fully drain. I have 4 that are in well drained soil, but just am worrying about the lowland plantings. I guess one can only speculate. My soil isn't sandy, it is loamy, but stays soggy in the low part. I have only seen the soil dry and cracked briefly a couple summers ago. My dad says there is an underground spring.
