I was putting some plants into the ground and when i dug about 5 inches down this worm like thing with legs was in the dirt. I also found another one under my dogs wooden house when i moved it.

What is this thing?
It is wormlike but has a kind of big head and legs or arms! lol

please advise.

A beetle larva.

Lots of (scarab) beetles out there....those are the ones that begin their lives as white grubs. No way for most of us to determine which beetle as they (the grubs) look very much alike.

Many insects pass through 4 stages of maturity:

egg
larva
pupa
adult

Each of the 4 stages can look radically different from each other.
