| Dr. Klingaman Retired Arkansas Extension Horticulturist (i.e. the man knows what he's talking about) has an excellent article on the effects of drought on trees. Please note, that the link will work for the week of August 3-9, 2012. After that, anyone finding this post will need to look in the archives.

| nan.. you are hijacking a post.. you should start your own post.. with a pic of your conifer.. and post it either here or in the conifer forum ... if the buds die.. its dead.. it is possible for it to lose many of its needles and survive ... but based on words alone.. i would suggest yours is a loss ... and i would guess its a function of failure of PROPER WATERING ... once a week might be enough.. if you did it the right way ... if it loses most of its needles.. in my book.. its all about how long you want to look at that ugly thing.. not whether it can survive .... ken |
