The Roundup will only kill what you spray it on. Just make sure it isn't a windy day.

Or just pull it up...and keep pulling new shoots. It'll be dead by summer next year if you don't let it photosynthesize much.

You could take a shovel or a hoe and cut the crown off of it. That'd probably do it (one time)

In my experience pokeweed is pretty easy to pull up.

Also, acording to the interwebs, holly, is somewhat salt tolerant, and pokeweed is very salt intolerant. Sprinkle salt water on the leaves of the pokeweed. Try not to get it on the holly's leaves, but if a little gets on it might survive it anyway.

Use a small spade to dig roots.

if you read the label of RU ... it is used.. undiluted.. as a stump killer ... you are killing a stump ...

if it is a huge P ... you will NEVER dig it all up.. unless you are prepared to dig a 3 foot deep hole ... any piece left.. will be back.. even if it takes a year or two ...

return unused RU to properly labeled container ... and rinse out the applicator ... do not store near hot dogs ... lol ...

you can use this system for any tree... shrub... large weed.. and barely use a tablespoon.. since you are using it drop by drop ...

Ken, question for you...does it have to be plochmans? I prefer French's...actually Plochman's isn't available here. >:P

Contact lens saline bottles also work very well, but you probably will need a funnel to fill them.
