Base of tree. The base of the trunk looks like it is peeling.

Could this be blight?

Fungus- Had a lot of rain?

Thanks campy. What kind of fungus do you think it might be? No, we've had an exceptionally warm and dry summer here in BC.

Regarding the peeling at the base of the trunks that is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

Could the answer simply be that its late in the season and its been exceptionally warm and dry?

There isn't anything about the plant that would make me nervous.
