Arborvatie what s happening

I have 3 of these but only on one tree are these seen.. is it new growth? doesn t seem to be the case since they have looked like this since spring ..

They're arborvitae cones. Most of my green giants have them. I believe they'll eventually turn brown like most cones.

its a conifer ... so yes.. those are cones ..

but please.. dont call them pine cones ....
