| Has anyone ever tried growing this? I've ordered a few from a nursery in Wisconsin (seedlings). I know they should be sited out of wind and excessive exposure, but do they do well in the same kind of soils as other magnolias? Just curious. |

| Several nice mature specimens are growing at the Dominion arboretum in Ottawa, Canada (5a). They are planted alongside the collection of the Asian magnolias. |
