Hi, my apple tree is looking lack lustre- it is a Laxton Superb half standard that I had bought from a garden centre and planted in a large pot this Feb.The leaves are "curly" and the tree looks lanky, despite managing to produce a few apples this year. I'm wondering whether there is some kind of serious problem going on- I've noticed some damage around the base of the trunk, the bark seems to be peeling off. The tree stands alone in a pot, so it was not damaged by a clumsy lawn mower or anything like that. Please see attached photos. Thanks for advice in advance!!
