Help ID tree!

Does anyone know what kind of tree this is? The one with the pink flowers. (or perhaps considered a large bush?) I don't know which zone it is but it was along the Ohio River on the state line between Indiana and Kentucky. Sorry about the pine that is in front of the tree but it was the only view I could get.

Crape myrtle - they come in all colors and sizes as well as having a variety of bark presentations and generally have good fall color

Crape Myrtle, not really a tree but can be trained to look like one, seen some big ones in Texas, I have one about half the size of the one in your photo.

If you are in zone 5 might be too cold, generally need at least zone 6b as most show zone 7 and above.

Non-dwarf forms of Lagerstroemia indica have been known to grow 60' tall.
