Need a screening tree for the corner of my lot, raised bed and full sun. No more than 15-20 feet wide (max) as its a bit of a tight spot. Any opinions on Canada red chokecherry?

In a different spot, I want to plant a tree in a circular bed by the front of the house. Want something relatively upright with a small footprint. What about Amelanchier standing obelisk? Says its only 4 feet wide but I see few opinions on GW. Also, would this be something you could limb up?

Any other suggestions for ornamental trees that are small (10 feet or so) but taller than they are wide?

I'm not a big fan of the Canada Red. They sucker up all over, often have bad form, and often get black knot. How about a thornless hawthorn or a redbud. They both come in tree form or multi stem. Amelanchiers like anything can be limbed up.

Any small variegated trees that could be considered? or even bright lime green foliage? Nothing that gets too wide though since this will be by the front door.
