| I'm looking for a pure red mulberry tree to plant in my backyard (I strongly prefer to plant native species when the choice is available, especially when the alternative is an invasive like the white mulberry). I also read that many "red" mulberries are actually hybrids. Does anyone know a good source I can get a pure red mulberry tree from? Not many places seem to have them, but I found these three:

| to be honest in the wild all the mulberry trees I've seen from the Carolina's to Pennsylvania are black fruiting. I'm propagation some cuttings of my wild mulberry now it bears huge crops of nice size black mulberries and will happily trade you 1 rooted cutting in a pot for something you might have that's already rooted. I'm mainly interested in figs, pawpaw's, pecans, English walnuts, wild plums, and pomegranate trees. please let me know what you have. |
