Yoshino Cherry Leaves Turning Brown

Hello everybody,

Last week I planted a Yoshino cherry tree in my front yard. We got the tree from local nursery in Cleveland. The tree looked very healthy when we got it. However within 4/5 days the leaves are starting to turn brown. I noticed ton of black spots on the leaves and it is spreading fast. I noticed a small opening in a trunk that looked like canker infection but I dont know if it the case or not. Here are some pictures that I took yesterday. Any suggestion on what could be causing this?
