Full sun for pines, sounds like you may soon see yours becoming thin and one-sided. If this is a tight space with architecture boxing it in it may not have enough room to grow either.

Very poor placement for this plant. The best plan is to evaluate the site carefully BEFORE selecting a specimen plant. Then choose the right plant for those exact conditions.

you just bought.. and planted ... an 8 foot conifer in august????

most of us would have held a pot until PROPER fall planting ...

or.. if ball and burlap.. from a local nursery..l would have TAGGED the plant.. for delivery and planting... at the PROPER fall planting time ...

move it in late september... to a better site.. DO NOT MOVE IT AGAIN IN AUGUST ...
