I was given a rubber plant 2 years ago. The people transplanted it and tried to make it healthy by trimming all the lower leaves. It is now three feet tall and half of it on the bottom is bald. It has three trunks on it coming out of the soil. It is unsightly and growing upwards but not filling in the trimmed part making it very top heavy now. It is in a 12 inch pot now and I have been afraid to transplant. I am now wondering if I transplant it into a large pot and put the soil half way up the stems, would it sprout more roots and become stronger and not top heavy? anyone know. Thanks
