Are you looking at rooting your cuttings in pots that can be protected from freeze in the winter, or just starting them in the ground?

I will be starting them in pots.
I think they will be kept inside until next spring and then i will plant them.

You should have no problem then. If you keep them inside with artificial light they may not even go dormant for the winter; they probably will not grow much, but they will just kinda hang out until they get some real sun in the spring.
