i wouldnt bother ...

its growing on rotting wood.. a little superficial fungicide is not going to fix that ... and its not growing on the exterior bark ....

you need to have a PROFESSIONAL arborist inspect the tree and offer advice.. and that is not every guy with a chainsaw ....

this is not a 'oh .. i will ask stranger on the WWW' for advice thing ...

Geez Ken you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Its a simple question that I thought could be answered by someone on here. I had a professional arborist over a few weeks ago but this just popped up in the past week or so. I can't afford to have the expert over every time I have a tree issue.

ya know.. i did come up with flu symptoms this morn.... forgive me if i come off cranky ... i am trying to help ... i think .. lol...

if you paid an arborist money ... and he didnt find significant rotting wood [presumably] ... i would call him again ... and ask for my money back ... or ask him to come back out .. gratis ...
