Your comment in another topic interests me.

So you witnessed decreased foliage displays as the tree got less sun? I planted one this spring and the first flush was typical of the cultivar but the last 1-2' it has put on since is just plain old green. Mine is in full sun and I wondered if it got too much sun.

Just curious if this is a common occurrence with the plant. It is not all that outstanding if that is the case IMO
