Can anybody tell me what these tall evergreens are?

Many of these very tall, skinny short needled evergreens are in a local park. I have googled and googled, and can't find anything that seems right. The trees are I'd guess to be about 80 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide at the ground. The man that planted them probably more than 75 years ago was known for planting rare or unusual trees on his many acres estate that recently was given to the community for a public park.

Sure looks like Huggorm may be right. That tall slender look of all the pics of Serbian Spruce sure do look the same. Wish I had taken some close up pics. Don't know when I will get back to the park, but I will be taking a better look at the needles for clues.

salicaceae, this is in Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh. There are probably at least 2 dozen of them in the park. Some have a lot of dead from the bottom up with only a little green near the top. They are, as I said, probably as much as 75 years old or older.
