Fertilizing my tree

I don't know what kind of tree this is - perhaps someone can help me out with that, but I'd like to fertilize it and need to know what kind and how much to use. It's a relatively new tree - planted after the '04, '05 hurricanes wiped out our huge banyons.

Below is a link to photos of my tree on photobucket.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I'd like to fertilize it

Why? No need to fertilize trees. Save your money. Dozens of threads on this board discussing same.

nice lawn.. looks like you fert the lawn.. if so.. the tree needs no more ....

also.. if you mulch the grass clippings.. the tree needs no more ...

and... trees do not need fertilizing ...what about that tree is telling you that something that is lacking???

if you have any further concerns.. have a soil test done.. and ONLY add what is needed to make the soil proper ... which i doubt based on the tree and lawn ...

trees are not children.. they NEVER need to be fed.. nor schooled.. nor educated.. etc ...
