Fall is here!

Any early fall pics?

Its not going to be a very good one around here. Most trees are turning quick and dropping leaves quickly as well. Good chance of freeze tonight and tomorrow night.

Up until this morning (1/4") only had a 1/4" of rain this month so no drought relief for my area. I had to use a pic axe to break up the soil in some areas for planting.

Acer palmatum 'Sango Kaku' - this one tends to color up early here.

Wow! I dont doubt it one bit. The local ash trees are already going fall yellow as were some oaks in Tulsa yesterday. Way waaaay early this year. Our peak color here is usually early -mid November!

Here she is. Close to tapping out and the color is less than spectacular this year.

Thanks!

If for some reason you can't locate them and you can remember in April, I'll be dividing this plant. You can have some if you pick up the shipping tab.

Nothing in my part of the UK yet. Been wet all summer!

Whaas, you are always such a generous person. I can't even believe that you would do that for me.

I will definitely try to find them on my own, but I'll touch base with you if for some reason I can't, and I will definitely pay for the shipping and for your time as well.

RE: Fall is here!

We're still mostly green but the maples are starting ever so slightly to turn, I found 1 lone Sugar Maple leaf (yellow) in my yard from the neighbor a distance away. We were supposed to have a frost 2 nights ago, but my tender veggies (tomatoes/ peppers) are still looking unaffected, so it must've been not bad enough to wilt anything tender. I really love your Japanese Maples. When my oaks get bigger I want to get a couple. I may be up north, and not have to give them shade, but I like how they grow in the shade, more openly branched and graceful. My friends Sassafras are still green. My only tree starting to change is a Nuttals oak that shows red foliage in spring and early in fall.
