Just discovered this

I hope this is a decent enough picture of a branch I clipped. There are a few of these small undergrowth trees growing at the edge of our woods that I've never noticed before. Never noticed them flowering in the spring either, but I spotted the little hard "berries" or fruit yesterday. They have some long thorns, although there's not a lot of them.

Just curious as to what this could be. There's only a couple in one spot.

Thank you bboy! I can't identify many trees, but I'm learning more every year living here.

It seems as though I discover new trees in our woods every year. Last year I discovered we had a patch of Witch Hazel growing, & 2 years ago, a huge Burr Oak.

It IS very scenic j0nd03. We live in a clearing in the middle of 13.5 acres of woods. Sometimes a blessing....sometimes a nuisance.
