Unless they're killed to the ground by winter cold & put up 6'+ sprouts from the base like mine did this yr.

beng, I almost wish that had happened. I had that happen to a vitex this winter, and that puppy is almost as big as it was before.

I've had one centered in a row of petite oleander bushes for 3 years, even with the die-back on the oleanders after this past harsh winter, they've at least doubled their size while the fringe tree still looks pretty much the same. Like Charlie Brown would say...'it's not a bad little tree' but it's still a small tree with really slow growth.
