Above is a picture of a leaf from the tree. It has red berries hanging somewhat randomly all over the tree, the berries are on 1.5 inch stems 3/8 - 1/2 inch in diameter. The trees are currently 20 - 30 feet tall. They are all over a local park and playground and litter the ground there. I want to know if theyre poisonous thanks to them being where our little one plays, she's still at the stick-everything-in-the-mouth stage.

You think perhaps Serviceberry? Related to Crabapple, the internet says. I'll try to snap a pic of the berries and tree when I get a chance.

It's an ornamental crab apple.

Excellent. Couldn't imagine they'd load up a playground with thousands of poisonous berries, but better safe to know.

Thank you very much!
