Please help to ID cutting

Hi all.

Last January I was on business in Fortaleza in Brazil, here I noticed a very attractive shrub for the quality of the leaves, branching and some aerial root.
So I took a small twig to make a cutting that has rooted very easily in front of the window of my house in Italy.
I suppose it's some kind of Ficus but I do not recognize that.

The leaves, in addition to being quite small and bright green, are very thick, rigid, seem to the touch of plastic and are arranged in a spiral.

I thought to Ficus for the appearance in general, for the sheath that protects the apical bud and for latex which produces from the wounds.

Someone has already encountered this plant and tell me what it is?

Definitely looks like a ficus. Especially if it bleeds white sap.

But there are probably hundreds of tropical species!

It looks like Ficus elastica, common name rubber tree. It's a common indoor plant in the U.S. Yours is a lovely specimen!

Hi to all,

Thank you for the information, seems established that it is a Ficus.
But I do not think it's a Ficus elastica, I have one and its leaves are at least 7 inches. The leaves of my cuttings are smaller than those of F. benjamin, resemble those of F. retusa but much more thick and hard.

I am not even convinced it is a Ficus... despite its resemblance!

I'm leaning towards the rubber tree. I have a little one, its never grown big leaves like one of the biggys, but its never been vigorous either.
