Can you tell us where this is located, how tall is this tree and if you have ever seen it flower?

If you rip a leaf, is it aromatic? And if so, what does it smell like?

It doesn't really smell at all. I tried doing that to see if it did, because then I might have thought it was a eucalyptus. But now I don't know.

Sorry, I didn't answer the entire question. The tree is in my backyard in Monrovia, CA and it is about 30 feet tall and I know it has pods on it and I think it does flower.

You might post this question on the name that plant forum. Be sure to give the details on location, size and anything else.

Here is a link that might be useful: name that plant forum
