Quercus dentata

Looking for a US source for acorns, either from a private grower, or a commercial retailer.

I've checked with:
Schumacher Seeds....Harrington Seeds...Lawyers....Oikos....Wayside Gardens,...Mossy Oak...Sheffields....etc.etc. None can supply acorns for this oak. Very few web-sites show anyone in the US growing this oak...there are a few retailers...but I need acorns, not small trees.

Someone must know a source for acorns. I need about a pound....or, 50-100 acorns.

Please help me locate a seller.

Thanks for the help.

Frank

Frank,

It appears that you have GardenWeb email turned off, so I can't email you. If no one else can recommend a source, email me and I'll give you a possible lead (not a commercial source).

Thanks for posting your notice. My e-mail is: fdvpiano@yahoo.com.

Members....please let me know if you can supply me with some acorns, or, name of supplier(s). If it's a private source please include prices, etc. I will need them soon so that they can be stratified for sowing.

Thanks for the help. (I would also like some acorns for Quercus petraea).
